We are looking for an estimator to join our dynamic Team. We are a well-established Structural steel fabricator, based in Hounslow/Heathrow. Recently voted ‘London’s best steel fabricator’.

Technical Estimator – Job Purpose:
Being a key member of our Sales Team to build relationships with customers and achieving company targets by estimating and winning new projects.
Technical Estimator – Job Duties:
- Building relationships with new and existing customers via telephone conversations, emails, and meetings in our office.
- Achieving individual sales targets by winning new projects.
- Preparing quotation – estimating the price of steel structure based on dimensions and details taken from technical drawings and information provided by customers, with the use of our bespoke ERP system.
- Preparing project documentation including hand sketches.
- Project management.
- Answering incoming calls during the day.
- Liaise with suppliers.
Technical Estimator – Skills and Qualifications:
The Company is looking for an ambitious individual who is fascinated by good customer service, has the ability to understand customer needs and communicates with conviction in a positive way.
Other Skills: Problem-solving skills, Decision-making ability, Organisational skills, Procedural mindset, Ability to prioritise, Attention to detail, Ability to analyse data and understand connections, Ability to understand 3D structures, Excellent communication and writing skills.
Desirable qualifications: Background in Civil/Structural Engineering or experience with reading technical drawings.
Desirable experience: Experience in Sales, ideally technical sales roles.
Technical Estimator – Offer Details:
Work in our Office located in Hounslow, TW4 6BU.
Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm.
Annual Leave: 32 days holiday (including Bank Holidays and Christmas break).
Salary: Basic salary plus commission based on achieved sales targets.

Job Duties:

Steel Sales Executive - Construction & Steel Fabrication
We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Steel Sales Executive to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a confident sales professional with construction knowledge who thrives in both an office and field-based environment.
The Steel Sales Executive will be responsible for converting leads into sales, proactively canvassing construction sites, and building relationships with contractors, site managers, and decision-makers. If you are a self-motivated negotiator with a passion for business development, we want to hear from you!
Duties :
Lead Follow-Up & Sales Conversion
- Proactively follow up on quotes via phone, email, and site visits.
- Build strong relationships with potential clients, understanding their needs.
- Negotiate, overcome objections, and close deals to meet sales targets.
Field Canvassing & Business Development
- Identify and visit active construction sites to generate new business.
- Offer Steelo’s steel fabrication services directly to site managers and procurement teams.
- Use construction industry knowledge to establish credibility and trust.
Client Relationship Management
- Develop and nurture long-term relationships with clients.
- Work closely with the estimating team for seamless project handovers.
- Ensure excellent customer service to encourage repeat business.
Sales Performance & Reporting
- Track leads, conversions, and sales performance.
- Provide regular feedback on sales trends and market opportunities.
- Identify ways to improve the sales process and increase conversion rates.
Skills and qualifications:
We are looking for a highly motivated, driven individual with strong negotiation skills and a passion for sales.
Essential Skills:
✔ Proven sales experience – ideally in construction or steel fabrication.
✔ Strong ability to persuade, negotiate, and close deals.
✔ Comfortable with on-site selling and cold approaches.
✔ Self-motivated, with excellent time management and organization.
✔ Resilient and confident in handling objections and rejections.
✔ Ability to build relationships and understand client needs.
✔ Valid driving license & own car – required for site visits (car allowance provided).Full training on Steelo’s products, pricing, and sales process.
Ongoing coaching and mentoring from the Sales Manager.
Access to CRM & lead management tools to track progress.
Regular sales team meetings to share strategies and insights.Offer Details:
Location: Hybrid – Office in Feltham TW4 + Regular Site Visits
Car Allowance Provided for travel to construction sites
Salary: £32,000 + Uncapped Commission + Bonus
