It is hard to believe that our first order was delivered by push bike 13 years ago! We are grateful for the continuous support of our team, partners, and clients throughout our journey. How We Got Our Start

It all started in September 2009 when our Company Founder, Michael Krajewski, had the vision to change the steel industry for the better. He started his own steel fabrication company (Strux-steel) from an undersized garage unit where his friends (who are now the longest serving team members) helped take the first steps in forming the core of Steelo.

It took just under two months for Strux-steel to receive its first order and one that Michael remembers to this day. A 1.2m flat section and with it, the next challenge… Delivery. Using a road bike and a few straps the steel was tied to a rucksack and cycled across London. Michael arrived with flat tires, sweating and out of breath but, the first order was completed and things could only get better!

Michael never gave up on his dream and slowly but surely, Steelo began to grow. It wasn’t until 2015, that the name Steelo was adopted and our one-off clients became regulars. Choosing to use a steel supplier they know was built upon a foundation of hard work, knowledge and at its core, reliability.

The past decade has taught our team a huge amount and has allowed us to grow and expand. We now have a team of over 40 passionate employees across two units located in West London. Despite the recent challenges posed by Brexit, COVID-19 and we have continued to innovate and push the steel industry forward. This would not have been possible without the amazing support of our extended Steelo family!
